What does it mean? How is it experienced? Why does it matter? This 3.5 hour workshop, taught by leaders in the field of somatic therapy, brings together movement, theory and hands-on techniques that reveal the nature of the nervous system and its role in your health. Together we reach across a spectrum of alternatives in medicine to send you home not just feeling better, but also empowered with tools and understanding to resolve the mind-body gap.

Leia Layus’ explorations of over 10 years in movement and therapeutic modalities are inspired from an intention to tend the inner landscape of body and mind. Leia’s offerings come from her studies in Yoga and Holistic Therapy with an MA in Integral Psychology. Her teachings are inspired by Somatic Therapy, Slow Vinyasa Yoga and her studies of Satya Yoga, which emphasizes the exploration of the subtle body.

Shana has been studying and practicing a range of different body centered and therapeutic modalities throughout the last 15 years. Her passion is to move towards wholeness through the integration of body, mind, emotion and spirit. Her practice is inspired by movement and dance, the rhythms of nature and a deep searching for freedom and peace from the inside out.
